The three millionth dublinbikes journey was taken on Thursday
22nd December last.
dublinbikes
is a public bike hire scheme operated by JC Decaux Ireland
on behalf of Dublin City Council and has proven hugely popular
with people who live, work and visit Dublin. The following
are some of the key milestones in dublinbikes journey so far

- First journey: 13th September 2009
- One millionth journey: 14th August 2010
- Two millionth journey: 12th May 2011
- Three millionth journey 22nd December 2011.
65,358 people have joined dublinbikes so far. This is made
up of 37,817 long term (one year) members and 27,541 people
who have taken short term (three-day) membership.
