The Environment & Green Technologies Department of Enterprise
Ireland has announced the launch of its new green public procurement
website.
The website
has been designed to provide concise, up-to-date information
about green public procurement.
Promoting green procurement gives important incentives for
industry to develop ‘green’ technologies and products
and promote them in the market place. In particular, small
and medium-sized companies may profit from environmental procurement,
as it offers an opportunity to find markets for their innovative
solutions and products.
The web portal contains information on policy, criteria,
case studies, FAQs, tenders and useful links, as well as publicising
upcoming events.
