Bord na Móna is kicking off its first consumer sponsorship
activity in several years by linking up with Rehab to back
a two-week campaign called the Great Irish Waterways Adventure.
Gerry O’Hagan, marketing director with Bord
na Móna, said the promotion was the start of an attempt
to establish Bord na Móna’s environmental credentials.
The sponsorship reflects the company’s changed corporate
vision of the past three or four years, as it moves away from
peat-based activity.
The campaign involves a heritage boat - the Nieuwe Zorgen
- which will visit places that showcase the flora and
fauna around Ireland’s Grand Canal.
