The hunt is on for Ireland's premium business talent as the
European Business Awards 2010 sponsored by HSBC opens for
entries across the EU.
Now in its fourth year, the European
Business Awards is recognised as the hallmark of innovation,
success and sustainability across the EU. The Awards provide
an opportunity for businesses of all sizes and across all
sectors in Ireland to represent their country on a pan European
scale across eight awards categories.
After a judging process led by Europe's most respected business
leaders, winners will accept their accolades before an audience
of over 400 of Europe's top politicians, business leaders,
entrepreneurs, business commentators and media at an Awards
Ceremony in Paris in November. Prior to this, HSBC Corporate
Banking Ireland will be hosting a ceremony in Dublin in June
at which Ireland's ten nominees will be announced.
Last year, Irish company Freelow was the overall winner
of the 2009 Ruban d'Honneur European Business Award in the
category of the Information and Communication Technology Effectiveness.
Alan Duffy, head of HSBC Corporate Banking Ireland says that
Irish businesses have what it takes to take top honours.
"I think that Irish Businesses are extremely adept at facing
and overcoming challenges and have shown themselves to be
innovative, adaptable and still ambitious, despite the economic
circumstances. I believe that we can show Europe what we have
to offer through these awards and I'm very pleased that HSBC
can be part of it."
