Enterprise Ireland’s Leadership 4 Growth Sustainable Built
Environment Programme was launched last month at the IMI in
Dublin.
The programme is specifically for CEOs of companies operating
in the clean energy/green build/environment and related areas
serving the sustainable built environment. The programme,
with 25 CEOs on board, will be delivered by Duke
Corporate Education, who are ranked No.1 in the world
for customised executive education.
Launching the programme, the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise
Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan TD said - “The Leadership
4 Growth Sustainable Built Environment Programme offers
tremendous scope for the participating CEOs to build the leadership
and strategic capabilities to drive the international growth
of their companies.
"The global challenge of climate change, scarcity of
resources and the drive to low carbon economies offers major
opportunities for companies serving the Sustainable Built
Environment. In ‘Building Ireland’s Smart Economy - a Framework
for Sustainable Economic Renewal’, the Government highlights
the need to maximise the business opportunities presented
by the clean energy/green economy. This programme is all about
making that happen.”
The programme’s primary focus is to radically enhance the
opportunities of this newly converged industry by leading
to an internationalisation of the industry - enabling companies
to leverage off the commercial and execution capabilities
they have developed in the domestic market to build international
companies with an Irish base.
Welcoming the companies to the programme, Frank Ryan, CEO
Enterprise Ireland said - “The challenges and demands facing
business leaders have never been more intense. Leadership
capability is absolutely critical for Irish companies that
want to truly internationalise. This is where the long-term
rewards are - for their companies, for the sector, for exports
and to secure continued growth and employment at home.
"In this context, the Leadership 4 Growth Programme
can make a real impact and deliver results for ambitious Irish
CEOs determined to grow their international business. It is
a critical part of Enterprise Ireland’s support to Irish companies
to grow their international business in the face of very difficult
market challenges.”
