Energy Waste Elimination
Over the past decade, Casey Technology has developed a unique approach to energy management. The company utilises a suite of tools and techniques, drawn together and tailored to meet the unique requirements of clients' facilities. Their approach has proven successful across all sectors, working with clients both from the public and private commercial sectors.

Casey Technology has developed proven tools and techniques for energy waste reduction. CEMS® - a unique energy waste elimination system - has been developed on the basis of over a decade of experience in the energy management industry.
Energy efficiency improves the capacity to generate revenue and enter emerging 'green' markets. The knowledge and practices which provide energy efficiency can also provide process flexibility -

  • Tailored change programs drawn up to the specification of client operations
  • Regular mentor meetings—keeping change programs on track

Strategic Energy Management
Energy management has evolved into a multi-faceted discipline which requires a holistic approach. Casey Technology has contributed to the development of utilities management strategies - from policy development through to monitoring and reviewing procedures for many leading companies with locations in Ireland.

CEMS (Complete Energy Management System) includes -

  • identifying energy wastage where it occurs
  • developing a conservation programme
  • delivering behavioural change
  • setting criteria for investment.

Conservation programmes developed using the above tools, result in real and sustained cost reductions. The principal features are -

  • Policy driven
  • Fully documented
  • Unique rating system of energy aspects
  • Gap analysis techniques
  • Performance reporting
  • Compliance monitoring
  • Review procedures.

Strategic energy management can reduce fuel consumption by 10 to 20 percent in most cases. Note that these are results for energy alone - savings in labour, materials and other consumption add more value. Additional value comes from improved capacity utilisation and prolonged equipment life cycles.

Fully Documented Energy Management Systems
Developed to conform with the requirements of ISO standard acquisition and maintenance, Casey Technology is widely experienced in mentoring energy management processes. The company offers a suite of tools which can be developed to meet the specific requirements of client sites.

IPC and IPPC requirements for energy management systems are also satisfied by the Casey Technology product range. Public sector energy management requirements - as per EU regulation - can also be accommodated.

Casey Technology offers an extensive array of analysis types, including - energy reports, production efficiency graphs, financial analysis such as budgeting, tariffs, invoice validation, through to exception reporting and even emissions trading - all of which can be documented.

GHG Amalgamation
For those falling under the EUETS, Casey Technology provides a requirement amalgamation service for CO2 allowances. This eliminates the constraints implicit in the European and Global markets - that of standardised trade sizes. The company trades both shortages and excesses.

In many cases, less or more than 1 standard market trade (5000 allowances) are required. The company brings together, anonymously, buyers and sellers with the aid of its working partners, Co2e - one of the largest traders in the world. Casey Technology hosts an exchange facility for the purchase and sale of EUETS allowances.
Current market values are far surpassing expectation. Fines for excess emissions are to say the least, unpleasant.

Pre-Verification Preparation for EUETS
Preparing your organization to meet all of the requirements is critical in ensuring a smooth verification and submission process. Casey Technology are specialists in the associated documentation process - and, hence, provide a pre-verification preparation service.

Are you ready to meet the verifier? Will your verifier sign your emissions off straight away? Have you even appointed a verifier? Is your site prepared? Is your paper-work ready? Are you sure? Casey Technology can get you prepared - selecting a verifier, ensuring your site and documentation is prepared, keeping you informed on legislative developments, acquiring any shortfalls in your submission requirements and disposing of excess allowances.

Energy Auditing
Energy audits are a useful tool which can be utilized either independently, as a condition of licensing, or as part of a greater energy policy. Casey Technology provides a site specific energy auditing service, tailored to client needs.

Energy auditing is a service often performed by Casey Technology. They have developed a methodology which is fast, effective, exhaustive, low-cost and concise - and work with all energy types, site types and sectors.

Compliance Monitoring & Checking
Ensuring that you are meeting the requirements of your IPPC, IPC or the EUETS, commitments - or any other standards - Casey Technology provides a compliance and checking service.

EU Directives, coupled with national legislation, now impact on the following areas relating to energy:

  • Procurement for public sector clients
  • IPPC licensing
  • Emissions.

In addition, energy management systems are now subject to IS393 or are incorporated as part of the environmental systems, such as ISO 14001.

Energy Procurement
Casey Technology provides energy procurement services for a wide range of clients across both the public and private sectors. Working with all of the suppliers for both gas and electricity, they will ensure that clients receive the most beneficial plan for their operations.

They have developed models capable of comparing quotations from all potential vendors to ensure that a true comparison is made. Assess your energy requirements.

They will - invite tenders to supply from a selection of suppliers; assist in the selection of the most appropriate tender for their clients; provide a fully transparent process. They are compliant with EU directives.
