Facility Manager

Indaver Ireland Limited is seeking applications for the position of Facility Manager - Location: Dublin Port.

Reporting to Operations Manager, duties include -

• Ensure we have a strong safety culture
• Responsible for acceptance and storage of all wastes types on site - including bulk and packaged waste shipments transiting the facility
• Ensure all waste accepted into the Transfer Station is checked into the system on the day of receipt and paperwork is handled in accordance with procedures
• Ensure all operational aspects of the Transfer Station and Solvent Recovery Facility are carried out in accordance with the waste license
• Set goals for all their team members and create a working environment where goals are achieved on time
• Responsible for the activities carried out by the site operatives -
  o Loading containers
  o Repacking of waste
  o Taking samples from bulk tankers
  o Loading\Unloading of all bulk tankers in the Solvent Recovery Facility
• All operatives receive training required to carry out their functions effectively
• Ensure all operatives receive Emergency Response Training and participate in regular drills
• Ensure waste is moved to disposal sites as efficiently as possible and maintain minimum stock levels
• The Facility Manager is responsible for the upkeep of the facility and associated equipment.

Education -

• Leaving Cert (or equivalent)
• Degree or Diploma in business/technical discipline desirable.

Work Experience -

• 5 years work experience in a similar role.

Skills -

• Computer literate – in particular, MS Office
• Excellent Attention to Detail
• Good Communication Skills
• Previous leadership/Supervisory Experience of team
• Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor an advantage
• Certificate in Waste Management an advantage
• Experience of waste management industry is desirable, but not essential .
