This consultation paper outlines Ireland's requirement to
prepare a National Implementation Plan (NIP) under EC Regulation
850/2004 on persistent organic pollutants.
The paper describes the POPs work area, the key legislation
and agreements in place regarding POPs and, also, the key
elements that are proposed for the NIP.
