Performance Report 07 - Living Corporate Responsibility.
The printed CR Review explores the material issues facing
the business - combining in-depth articles for the core strategic
issues of trust and confidence, responsible investment and
financial capability, with summaries of the business operating
issues which are covered in more detail in the online report.
The online Performance Report 07 describes progress during
the year, provides full performance data and outlines targets.
Friends Provident has developed this new approach to CR reporting
in response to feedback from key stakeholders.
The reports detail Friends Provident's long-standing commitment
to operating a responsible business, including details of
how it has -
- maintained its market leadership position in the responsible
investment market - offering new specific climate change
funds
- developed the link with the Life Academy to provide pre-retirement
workshops for Friends Provident group pension scheme clients
and provided financial capability online tools through the
e-learn site www.friendsprovident.com/elearn
- won a second IVCA Clarion award for effective communications

- helped develop ClimateWise
- the insurance sector's response to climate change - and
- encouraged over 20% of employees to participate in the
new employee-led 'Friends in the community' programme.
