The National Water Conference 2008, entitled - 'Working
Together to Protect Water from Catchment to Consumer'
- will take place on 11th and 12th June 2008 in the Galway
Bay Hotel, Salthill, Galway.
This national conference - organised by the EPA in collaboration
with its partners in the Environmental Enforcement Network
- is designed to inform interested parties about the implementation
and enforcement of new and existing water quality legislation
and the range of water quality protection initiatives being
taken by the local authorities, the fisheries boards, the
Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government and
the EPA.
This year's conference covers a wide range of water issues.
The main focus of the conference is on improving our drinking
water and developing an integrated approach to protecting
water from the catchment to the consumer.
