Resource, Recover, Rethink

Established shows with a fresh new look and a sharp new focus

The environmental trade exhibitions - resource Irish Water Waste & Environment Show and recover Irish Recycling & Waste Management Show - formerly IWWE & IRWM, will see some exciting changes at the next event on 24-25 March 2009.

Relocation to the Simmonscourt Halls within the RDS complex will make the shows easier to navigate for visitors. Public transport links are excellent and plenty of parking space makes for easy access to the shows for exhibitors and visitors alike.

A shift in environmental challenges faced by the public and private sectors requires a different approach and the new resource & recover event delivers it with a fresh new look and focus.

Resource - The Irish Water Waste & Environment Show
Established in the Irish environmental market for over 35 years, resource continues to be the only all-island exhibition for the water and environmental sector. More than 100 exhibitors display products and services - ranging from air pollution monitoring equipment, noise control and sustainable energy solutions, to water and waste water treatment. The resource team continue to work with industry professionals to ensure industry needs are met and reflected in new features at the show.

Recover - The Irish Recycling & Waste Management Show
Since its launch alongside the water show in 2000, the focus of recover has advanced from standard recycling and waste management to alternative waste treatment - including composting and energy recovery from waste. The support of industry bodies and associations like CIWM Ireland, CRÉ - the Composting Association of Ireland - and the Irish Waste Management Association (IWMA), in 2008 reflects the relevance of the shows to the Irish waste sector.

The only all-island networking platform
resource & recover attracts environmental professionals from Southern and Northern Ireland, providing visitors with the opportunity to -

  • Network - discuss all-island solutions for Ireland's environmental challenges
  • Meet and source new and existing suppliers - product and service suppliers from Ireland and Europe display the latest technologies
  • Celebrate excellence and innovation - The Environment Innovation Awards, presented at resource & recover, feature innovative environmental technologies
  • Discuss environmental research projects - as displayed in a poster exhibition in the Innovation Lounge
  • Gain further knowledge - in free CPD accredited seminars divided into three streams - water, waste and climate change.
